Two Shops. One Obvious Truth.
If you've been here a while, you know this blog started as a Walter thing. If you're new, welcome — grab a seat, lower your expectations appropriately, and let's catch up.
Here's what's actually going on around here these days: two shops, one voice.
State the Obvious
This is where Walter lives — a deadpan walrus who has never once been surprised by anything, including his own existence. State the Obvious started as sarcastic t-shirts and has turned into something more useful: cheap, instant-download printables that say the quiet part out loud.
Think:
One-page "aggregation" sheets that save you a dozen Google searches — kitchen conversions, road trip prep, "something broke, now what."
Sarcastic-but-genuinely-useful guides for real problems, like side hustles, house maintenance, and "people are coming over, now what."
The occasional health-topic sheet, written with actual research and zero medical-influencer nonsense.
No fluff. No 40-page workbook you'll never open. Just the obvious answer, printed, instantly.
Obviously Digital
This is the other half — a PNG digital download shop for anyone with a Cricut, sublimation printer, or DTF setup who wants to make something instead of buy it pre-made. It's less "one deadpan mascot" and more "there's probably a design for your extremely specific hobby."
Mahjong players, birdwatchers, dialysis techs, 911 dispatchers, Highland cow enthusiasts, sterile processing nurses, dog breed loyalists who will die on that hill — if there's a niche with an inside joke, there's a design for it. Transparent background, print-ready, done.
Why one blog, two shops
Honestly? Because they were never really two different ideas. Both shops came out of the same thing: building something real, from scratch, after 50, after a lot of courses that overpromised and a lot of false starts. Same "Obviously." at the end of everything. Same rule — if it's not useful or funny (ideally both), it doesn't get made.
So instead of splitting the storytelling across two quiet blogs nobody found, we're combining it here. Expect posts that pull from both shops — gift guides for specific hobbies, behind-the-scenes on how the designs and printables actually get made, and the occasional "here's what's new this week" roundup covering everything, not just one side of the shop.
